How To see what a Samsung SmartTV looks like in your room with a VR app
Samsung, a company that is always looking to push boundaries in the mobile and Smart TV space, has released an app for the Android mobile phone that allows you to simulate a Samsung Smart TV screen in your living space. It works using a technology called augmented reality (AR). The technology allows you to embed items into your camera located on your phone, giving you the feeling that a graphical item is actually in the picture. Think of it like a extra layer on top of your camera image showing you something that isn’t actually there.
The app is pretty cool and within no time I was looking at my living wall through my android phone but with a 60” Series 9 screen located on the main wall. You can change between the screens and also move around the room whilst the screen still looks attached to your wall. It really is very impressive.
It’s a great way to test out the look and feel of a TV before actually purchasing it. As well as providing the latest AR technology, the app also explains the features of Samsung’s Smart TVs in an easy-to-understand and enjoyable way.
